Walking Tour of Budapest



Budapest, is an expansive city, nonetheless walking across the city is not a Herculean task. This three-hour walking experience across the city in the company of a local English-speaking guide will surely illuminate your knowledge of the city. You will cover major attraction sites such as the Buda Castles, numerous world heritage sites such as the Heroes Square among other attraction sites. This tour is limited to fifteen people, ensuring personalized attention from the guide. Your experienced tour guides will lead you across the city that is full of UNESCO world heritage sites. Your first stop will be at the Opera house before going to the Millennium metro, then the Heroes’ park, and the City Park. Walking across the park will lead you to the Vajdahunyad Castle complex constructed for the 1896 World Expo. Next, you will visit the Szechenyi bathhouse before heading back to the city center via the Millennium metro.

The tour continues by visiting the St. Stephen Basilica before you pass the Elizabeth and Deak Square. Afterwards, you will have a small break in a Hungarian care to enjoy two sumptuous pastries and a hot drink. Next, follow the tiny streets leading to the city center. At the Ferenciek Square, you will marvel at its amazing architecture. A short stroll along the Vaci Street will lead you to the Danube Promenade. As you stroll along, look at the Citadel and the Gellert Hill, the Buda Castle District and the Buda Hills.

Stopping at the Vigado gives you an opportunity to take a photo of the little princess before you cross the Chain bridge. For the final part of the tour, climb the Royal palace steps in the Buda Castle district before passing through alleys and the Old Cobblestone streets as you head towards the tour finishing point at the Fisherman’s Bastion and the Matthias Church.
